Meat Processing Apprentice Road 39 Ranch is accepting applications for the position Meat Processing Apprentice.
This is a paid apprenticeship program beginning in June of 2021.
This program is 12 months long with raises every 3 months until completion of the program, based on successful completion of the hours and testing.
There is a paid orientation period prior to the start of the program to assess applicant's aptitude and fit for the program.
Upon completion of the program successful apprentices will have completed class and shop work in Food Safety, Tools and Equipment of the Trade, Butchering Methods, Pre-Slaughter and Slaughter techniques, Slaughter of Cattle, Beef Butcher and Cuts, Packaging and Freezing.
We will provide the text books, all training materials, and all basic equipment and personal protective clothing.
This is a full time program working Monday through Friday day shift.
There is potential for full time employment after completion of the program and we will assist in job search.
We operate under a USDA grant of inspection.
This is a physically demanding profession requiring work on your feet.
Applicants should be a minimum of 18 years old by June 15th of 2021.
You must have your own transportation. This facility is located in Mancos, Colorado.
