San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring a full-time Suicide Prevention Coordinator as part of the Colorado-National-Collaborative (CNC) project.
The position is responsible for performing community-wide outreach and program promotion.
Successful applicants will have experience in organizing and directly facilitating diverse groups of community members involvement in local public health initiatives such as suicide prevention or other behavioral health needs.
This position collaborates with a diverse set of formal partners and community stakeholders to provide education and communication regarding Thriving Communities program initiatives; provides trainings and technical assistance to build their capacity to engage equitably in public health initiatives; supports required monthly reporting and program evaluation for funders and internal needs using data collection tools and methodologies, and assists in writing grant proposals, concept papers and other materials to obtain funding.
An Associate's degree and two years of healthcare, public health or related experience in behavioral health education are required.
A bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with community behavioral health prevention services is preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $17.80 to $25.21 an hour.
New hires are typically made at or near the minimum of the hiring range.
