Music Director/Pianist

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, CO, seeks a Music Director/ Pianist/Choir Accompanist. Our most immediate need is for a Pianist/Choir Accompanist (approx. 28 hours per month).  The ideal candidate would also assume the position of Music Director (an additional 22 hours per month). We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with your experience and ability. 

The Music Director is a member of the UUFD staff who selects music and musicians for many types of worship services, administers the music program, and hires and supervises music staff. As pianist/choir accompanist, they play for Sunday worship 1-2 times per month and, working closely with the Choir Director, accompany the choir for weekly rehearsals and monthly “choir Sunday” services, including pre-worship Sunday choir rehearsal.

The successful candidate will be skilled in a variety of musical styles, including contemporary, and creatively involve volunteer musicians of all ages in the music program.
