Legal Assistant
District Attorney’s Office Victim Services is hiring - 2 positions Full-time position with Victim/Witness Services. Includes preparing victim impacts statements, restitution, notifications of case progress and critical events in La Plata, Archuleta and San Juan County criminal Court cases. Position includes victim and witness outreach, data entry, scheduling, and phone contacts essential to the position. Contacts crime victims by phone/email to explain victim rights, provide information and answer questions about the criminal justice process. Ensures services are compliant with Colorado Victim Rights Act.
SKILLS Needed: Computer experience with word processing and databases, experience with and ability to work with the general public. Knowledge of the legal system and the ability to cope with stressful situations important. Must be able to work self-sufficiently and be highly motivated and organized. $20/hour.
