JOB SUMMARY: Works with of commercial appraisers to compile rent survey data for appraisal analysis for use in the income approach to value method; provides customer service support to clients; completes data entry as required on properties in the county.

Makes phone calls for data survey purposes with the guidance of commercial appraisers. Inputs data into a database for income approach analysis. Uses tablet computers in the field to collect data. Interacts with the public in the office in a professional manner to ensure communications about property appraisals are accurate and complete. Performs other related duties as assigned. Regular and predictable attendance required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High School diploma or GED; and, Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Principles, practices, methods utilized in architecture and construction of homes and commercial properties. Knowledge of PC computer software including Excel, Word and Access programs and ability to understand and utilize drawing software and industry specific programs. Ability to accurately use mathematics, including geometry to draw and verify building and living areas. Good filing and organizational skills.
Skill in: Map reading and interpretation of maps for discovery and description of land attributes. Using tact, discretion, initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines. Dealing appropriately with the public in situations which may be from reluctance to potentially violent. Mathematics and estimation. Communicating clearly and effectively, orally and in writing. Preparing clear and concise reports.
Ability to: Ability to read, use and understand maps.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Work is performed in a normal environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust. The incumbent's working conditions are typically moderately quiet. While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and work in high precarious places. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to verbally communicate to exchange information. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
8-week temp assignment Part Time hours. $20/hour.
