Part-time Custodian/Maintenance Technician

Notes: This job is located at Purgatory Resort and offers 3 to 4 hours of work per day, totaling 6 to 8 hours per week. 

Summary:  Eolus Condos is a 47-unit building that has been a premier vacation location for Purgatory Ski Resort since 1984.  The property manager's goal is to maintain the common areas of the building, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.  The Custodian/maintenance tech will work 2 days a week on the property manager’s days off.  The Custodian/maintenance tech is expected to complete the tasks listed below daily and can anticipate 6 to 8 hours of work a week. The Custodian/maintenance tech will have opportunities to work more days when the property manager goes on vacation. Property management often consists of unplanned issues and the Custodian/maintenance tech should expect some tasks outside of this job description to arise. The property manager will teach his assistant the entire functionality of the Eolus Condominium building and will expect the Custodian/maintenance tech to respond to issues while on site.  

Daily Responsibilities: 

• Walk the building looking for trash to pick up or other discrepancies to fix.
• Test and balance two hot tubs
• Inspect, spot clean, and refill paper and soap in spa bathrooms
• Remove trash from lobbies and place in dumpster
• Check cars in the garage for parking passes and place violations/boot when necessary
• Remove the pool cover and scoop floating debris out of pool
• Shovel snow, salt icy areas, and snow blow when necessary
• Address plumbing emergencies (shut off water to problem area)
• Open elevator doors if they get stuck
• Escort contractors
• Vacuum Elevators and Elevator Lobbies
• Sweep or blow the walkways, additionally mop up dirt and spills when necessary
• Other duties as assigned by Property Manager from time to time.

Desired but not required:

• Maintenance experience
• Housekeeping experience
• Familiarity with Purgatory Resort
• Lives ~15 minutes of Purgatory Village

Compensation: $18/hr

Days of work:

   Jun 15 - Aug 8: Sunday, Monday 

   Aug 8 - Nov 28: Saturday, Sunday

   Nov 28 - Apr 15: Tuesday, Wednesday 

   April 15 - June 15: No set schedule/As needed

Hours of work: 9 am - until all listed tasks are completed.
