CFO
Put your financial acumen to work for the good of your community. Vibrant local nonprofit dedicated to social justice seeks CFO to provide financial leadership over $5 million budget. Community Connections has served children and adults with disabilities in SW CO since 1985. Position can be PT or FT depending on preferences of the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance strategic financial planning and oversight with the human impacts those finances represent.
This position requires working with a team of directors of the organization to maximize revenues and oversee expenses. The CFO has oversight of all financial operations and the preparation of annual audit.
Supervises the Finance and Accounting staff and prepare or analyze financial statements, budgets, general ledger, A/P and A/R. CFO will work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to execute goals developed in Community Connections Strategic Plan.
Knowledge and Abilities:
• Must be able to prepare and analyze accounts receivables/payables, payroll, general ledger,
financial statements, budget and all organizational operational functions.
• Must be able to prepare audit schedule.
• Must have experience with accounting software (Abila preferred) and Excel.
• Must have supervisory skills.
• Ability to commute for business, when needed. If driving, must possess a drivers’ license in the
state they reside and current auto insurance.
• Satisfactory completion of all background checks and references, including Motor Vehicle
Record is required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of five years of accounting experience required. $32.60-36.21/hour DOE + benefits for FT.
