The City of Cortez is accepting applications for a Public Works Waterline Replacement Operator. Responsibilities include performing manual work installing water services and main water lines; valve exercising, maintenance, and replacement; street maintenance and repair; operating heavy equipment; performing snow removal, traffic control, water leak repairs, and other maintenance as needed. Applicant must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; able to operate a variety of hand construction equipment; operate heavy equipment; be available for on-call when needed and be in good physical condition. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent; possess a valid Colorado driver’s license, and be able to obtain a CDL within three months of hire. Wage range is $16.25-$25.70.
