Description: Multimedia Graphic Designer Durango, CO, USA Ballantine Communications, a family oriented business, serves our communities by providing relevant information, building knowledge and supporting economic vitality. We are looking for a multimedia graphic designer interested in joining our creative and advertising teams. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the concept, design, and execution of various creative assets for all printing and digital projects.
Essential Responsibilities: • Work on circulars and Newspaper ROPS. • Assist with special projects, such as T-shirt designs, logos, newsletters, billboards, maps, banners, marketing materials, etc. • Lead or assist with magazine layout for several of our publications • Create digital ads, banners, website assets, social framing, etc. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Creative and thoughtful mindset with high attention to detail • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, organization, and professionalism • Flexible under time requirements and changing deadlines • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Trained in general design principles, including layout, typography, photo editing, file resolution, motion graphics, etc. • Comprehensive Graphic design and layout skills and experience • Proficient in creating and editing a wide variety of file formats using Adobe Design Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Knowledge of common industry terminology and practices • Working experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Google Workspace; familiarity with Mac and PC operating systems • Ability to conceptualize and design, modern, sophisticated and engaging digital experiences, including identity branding, 2D and 3D branding, illustration and campaign assets • Problem-solving skills • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-volume environment • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co- workers, customers and vendors • Must have a portfolio available to view • Knowledge of marketing principles and processes preferred
Strongly Prefer: • Support experience in a professional services, sales or marketing environment • Experience successfully creating and/or modifying processes Training and Education: • Associates degree in business or related field • Bachelor's (Preferred)
Pay: $21 -$23 hour, DOE
