Position Title: Multi-Media Sales Representative

FLSA Status: Exempt (salary) + commission

Location: Durango, CO, USA

Reports to: Director of Marketing

Travel Required: up to 50%, primarily in the four corners area

Ballantine Communications is looking for a multimedia sales representative to help small to medium businesses reach their desired marketing goals.

Responsibilities including prospecting, conducting needs assessments, creating and presenting proposals, servicing accounts and growing a new book-of-business. This role will contact key decision-makers and businesses, meet with them to understand their marketing needs, and develop proposals that focus on digital and print marketing solutions to help them grow their businesses.

Essential Responsibilities:

-Build rapport and cold call new prospects

-Prospect a full list of past advertising clients to call, offering win-back opportunities

-Follow up on pipeline prospect and callbacks

-Utilize email correspondence, client testimonials, and market statistics to build interest

-Effectively communicate appropriate rebuttals to all sales objections

-Ability to recommend products and services that best fit customers’ needs

-Coordinate with graphic team to produce thoughtful and creative ads that catch the attention of clients target market

-Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.

-Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

-Excellent customer service skills.

-Proven ability to establish/maintain interpersonal relationships.

-Ability to provide creative solutions to clients to meet their business objectives.

-Proficient knowledge and ability to use computers, and learn new software quickly.

Training and Education:

-Associates degree in Marketing or related field.

-2 to 4 years advertising/marketing experience.

Additional Requirements:

Position is subject to satisfactory completion of a background check and reference check. A valid driver’s license is also required for this position.
