Position Description
Senior Lending Officer is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Lending Department. This position will provide strategic direction for the Lending Department, while also ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The SLO is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, community, and bank partners. SLO will passionately support FSWB’s mission as a CDFI by providing responsible lending solutions to business customers, including underserved rural communities while maintaining an acceptable level of risk. SLO is also responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to either maintain or gain clients to increase commercial lending revenue and deposit growth. 

Position Responsibilities
Builds relationships with key members of the community, building a network while continuing to service the needs of existing customers.
Lead, manage, and drive sales activities of the Bank by
o Maximizing portfolio growth through effective planning, development, and implementation of lending strategies.
o Achieving loan growth goals per annual budget and five-year plan both individually and as a team
o Create a strong sales culture
o Conduct regular scheduled sales meetings and workflow meetings

Identify opportunities to deliver holistic lending solutions to borrowers, including supporting our mission as a CDFI.
Lead efforts with management to develop and implement appropriate lending products and services. 
Translate strategic and operating plans into meaningful direction of projects, goals, priorities, and activities; deliver on the strategy through the right people in the right place at the right time.
Reviewing existing and new client relationships for credit quality, structure, and pricing. 
Ensuring overall soundness of loan portfolio, with the ability to identify and develop long term strategies that will include initiatives such as portfolio mix, growth strategies, and market penetration objectives. 
Ensuring the accuracy of the risk rating system. 
Monitoring and managing institution’s portfolio and communicate performance and concerns to top management. 
Lead community banking efforts, develop strong referral relationships and actively participate in civic, professional and non-profit organizations. 

SECONDARY DUTIES:
Examine, evaluate, and recommend approval of applications for commercial and Ag loan requests.

Analyze loan reports and manage past due loans, coming due loans, and problem loans.
Participating in management level discussions and in making recommendations regarding lending policy decisions. 
Represents the Bank in a professional manner with customers, investors and business partners. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s policies and applicable laws.

Supervise lending staff including hiring, employee development, and building succession across the lending department through solid leadership.
Ensure staff is properly trained and managed, written performance plans are developed for staff members, including performance goals and objectives, conduct regular meetings with the employees to review objectives, train, coach and encourage employee in enhancing their skills to solicit customers for deposit and loan products.

Minimum Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS -
• Four-year college degree in business, community development, finance, or a related field plus 7-9 years of experience in lending, credit risk management commercial and agricultural financing.

• Strong credit and underwriting skills, capable of analyzing complex financing requests.

• Experience working with a wide range of lending products, including commercial, agricultural, and consumer loans.

• Superior organization and time management skills with attention to detail.

• Highly skilled in building cohesive cross-functional teams and facilitating collaborative decision-making and leading high-performing teams.

• Excellent written skills as well as strong communication and negotiating skills

• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills – able to work with people at all organizational/community levels.

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other leaders within the organization to develop and implement organizational strategy

Position Description
This position will perform diverse clerical duties and administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound decision making for the Bank’s Executive Officers. This position will function further in various customer service roles related to administration and follow-up support for business loan and deposit relationships.

Position Responsibilities
• Manage organizational calendars; Planning, Invitations and Set up
o Board Meeting set-up conference calls or in-person
o All-Staff Meetings
o Off-site meetings

Attend committee and board meetings, record minutes, prepare written summary of the minutes on a timely basis
Function as Liaison to the Board of Directors
Proactively manage Executive and Board travel, itineraries, meeting planning based on trip guidelines. 
Provide administrative support to Executives as needed.
Be point of contact for building maintenance and projects.
Coordinate ordering supplies for the bank.
Manage and maintain confidentiality of personal information.
Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers of the bank.

Demonstrate high degree of professionalism in executive interactions. 

SECONDARY DUTIES:

Handle regular activities without prompting and advise in advance of issues or delays.

Provide regular status updates on projects.
Perform routine tasks such as those related to staff meeting communications, dial-ins, room set up and report collection/distribution.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -
• College Degree preferred or at least five or more years of clerical or administrative experience.

• Professional, refined profile with expertise in administrative or related functions; experience working for senior executives and proven ability to meet their expectations with accurate and efficient delivery.

• Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks, strong memory, and work style and ability to focus and conduct business with few errors/misses.

• Superior organizational skills.

• Excellent PC skills, highly proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to generate high quality emails and messages to individuals at all levels of the organization; proactive and polished manner.

• Strong ownership, positive attitude and strong initiative.

• Excellent telephone etiquette.
